CBH CO-OP 67th Annual Meeting 2025

The CBH CO-OP 67th Annual Meeting brought together members, leadership, and employees to celebrate another year of progress, growth, and community impact. Held in Sturgis, South Dakota, this year’s gathering served as an opportunity to reflect on achievements, discuss new initiatives, and reinforce CBH CO-OP’s commitment to serving its members and the communities of South Dakota and Wyoming.

A Warm Welcome & Opening Remarks

The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome from Ken Snyder, Chairman of CBH CO-OP Board, who addressed the attendees with an overview of the cooperative’s accomplishments over the past year. Ken emphasized CBH CO-OP’s mission of providing high-quality services in refined fuels, propane, feed, and retail while ensuring the co-op remains a pillar of support for its members.

“We’ve made incredible strides this year,” said Ken. “From expanding our locations to enhancing member benefits, CBH CO-OP continues to innovate and grow, staying true to the values that have guided us for 67 years.”

Financial Overview & Cooperative Growth

The CFO, Garet Hunt, presented a detailed financial report outlining CBH CO-OP’s fiscal performance over the past year. Garet highlighted key metrics such as total sales revenue, member equity growth, and reinvestment strategies that keep the co-op on solid financial footing. Some of the key financial takeaways included:

  • Strong financial performance, with year-over-year growth in several divisions.

  • Expanded patronage dividends, rewarding members for their continued loyalty and business.

  • Strategic investments in infrastructure and technology to improve service delivery.

  • A commitment to reinvesting profits into future expansions and improvements for CBH CO-OP’s members.

“Our co-op remains strong because of our members,” said Garet. “Your support allows us to maintain competitive pricing, provide exceptional service, and invest in long-term growth opportunities that will benefit all stakeholders.”

Key Business Updates & Expansions

Todd Reif, CEO of CBH CO-OP, then talked of someof the most exciting aspects of this year’s meeting was the discussion of new business expansions. Some of the major projects and developments highlighted included:

  • Acquisition of the Elk Horn Ridge Travel Center: This key purchase expands CBH CO-OP’s presence in South Dakota, providing travelers and members with a convenient stop for fuel, food, and essential services.

  • New CBH CO-OP Building in Belle Fourche: Set to open in April 2025, this new facility will allow for enhanced operations, improved customer service, and a central hub for agricultural and energy services.

  • Continued Growth in Propane and Refined Fuels: The co-op’s fuel delivery network continues to expand, ensuring reliable energy access for rural and commercial customers across Wyoming and South Dakota.

  • Enhancements to the Always Running Rewards Program: Increased member benefits and expanded offerings in loyalty rewards were introduced to strengthen CBH CO-OP’s customer retention strategy.

Member Engagement & Open Forum

A highlight of the annual meeting was the open forum, where members had the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and provide feedback directly to CBH CO-OP leadership. Topics discussed included:

  • Strategies to improve customer service at retail locations.

  • Expansion of fuel delivery services in rural communities.

  • Continued investment in agricultural support programs.

  • Enhancing digital tools, such as the new CBH CO-OP website, for easier account access and bill payments.

This session reinforced CBH CO-OP’s commitment to transparency and member-driven decision-making, ensuring that feedback from the people who use the co-op’s services remains at the forefront of future planning.

The Future of CBH CO-OP

As the meeting came to a close, Todd Reif took the stage once more to share his vision for the future of CBH CO-OP. Key initiatives for the upcoming year include:

  • Increased focus on sustainability – Exploring energy-efficient solutions and alternative fuels.

  • Enhancing digital presence – Expanding online tools, mobile payment options, and digital marketing strategies.

  • Strengthening partnerships – Working closely with local businesses, farmers, and ranchers to ensure mutual success.

  • Expanding educational outreach – Continuing to support agricultural youth programs and scholarship initiatives through the CBH CO-OP Foundation.
