Meet the Candidates
Our Board of Directors plays a key role in guiding CBH CO-OP’s long-term vision and serving the best interests of our members. Below are the candidates seeking election to the CBH CO-OP Board of Directors for 2026. Take a moment to learn more about each candidate before voting.
Ken Snyder
Ken is the current Chairman of the CBH CO-OP Board. The Snyder family has been ranching South of Sturgis, near Tilford, along the Eastern slope of the Black Hills since 1946. Ken began his agricultural career after obtaining a B.S. degree in Animal Science from SD State University in 1984. He married is wife, Ronda, in 1985. Together they have 3 sons.
Tammy Basel
Tammy currently serves on the CBH CO-OP Board and lives in Union Center, SD, and produces sheep and cattle on land originally homesteaded by her grandmother. She has two children and 5 grand children.
Colter Ellsbury
Born and raised in Sundance, Wyoming, where he has spent his entire life in agriculture. A fifth-generation rancher, Colter continues a family ranching operation that dates back to 1886. In addition to ranching, he has owned and operated a welding and fabrication business since 2008. He is married and the proud father of three children.
