CBH CO-OP Hosts Successful 68th Annual Meeting

The 68th Annual CBH CO-OP Meeting brought together members, board leadership, and employees to reflect on the past year, review cooperative performance, and look ahead to the future of CBH CO-OP. Held in Deadwood, South Dakota, the meeting highlighted continued reinvestment, operational growth, and CBH’s ongoing commitment to serving members across South Dakota and Wyoming.

Opening Remarks & Board Leadership

The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Ken Snyder, Chairman of the CBH CO-OP Board, who thanked members for their continued trust and engagement. Ken reflected on the cooperative’s steady progress and emphasized the importance of disciplined reinvestment, strong governance, and member-focused decision-making.

“Our cooperative continues to move forward because of the support of our members and the dedication of our employees,” Snyder shared. “Everything we do is focused on keeping CBH strong, reliable, and positioned for the future.”

Charlene Camblin, who is retiring from the board this year, added. “It has been her pleasure, and CBH CO-OP is in excellent hands and she looks forward to the future.”

In Charlene’s place on the board, At-Large board member from Wyoming, Colter Ellsbury was voted in.


Financial Performance & Cooperative Health

Garet Hunt, Chief Financial Officer, presented the annual financial report, offering members a clear look at CBH CO-OP’s fiscal performance and long-term financial strategy. The report highlighted:

 

    • Strong overall financial stability across divisions

    • Disciplined capital reinvestment aligned with depreciation

    • Continued focus on margin awareness and cost control

    • Strategic planning for growth-oriented investments

Garet reinforced that CBH CO-OP remains well-positioned to reinvest in infrastructure, people, and services while maintaining financial strength for future generations.


Operational Updates & Key Investments

Todd Reif, Chief Executive Officer, provided an overview of operations and key investments made across the cooperative in the past year, as well as priorities looking ahead. Updates included progress across refined fuels, propane, retail, feed & agriculture, and administrative operations.

Highlights included:

 

    • Continued investment in infrastructure, fleet, and facilities to improve reliability and efficiency

    • Expansion and optimization of fuel and propane delivery capabilities

    • Ongoing development of local feed and cake production initiatives

    • Retail improvements focused on customer experience and long-term maintenance

    • Technology and systems investments to support data, security, and operations

Todd emphasized that CBH’s approach remains focused on long-term reliability, operational efficiency, and member value, rather than short-term gains.


Giving Back Through the CBH CO-OP Foundation

Members also heard an update on the continued work of the CBH CO-OP Foundation, which focuses on supporting youth, agriculture, food security, and rural communities. Through structured giving and increased transparency, the foundation continues to strengthen CBH’s impact beyond day-to-day operations.


Member Engagement & Looking Ahead

As a member-owned cooperative, open communication remains a cornerstone of CBH CO-OP. The annual meeting provided members the opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and better understand how decisions are made on their behalf.

Looking forward, CBH CO-OP remains focused on:

    • Strengthening customer loyalty and service

    • Investing in people, safety, and infrastructure

    • Supporting the communities where members live and work
